a bike can carry more than a rider
We bring bicycling into Indigenous Communities as a way to move well, live well, and stay connected to culture and land — supporting the passing down of tradition between generations, building health through movement, and protecting the land through conservation through appreciation.
BIKES.
CULTURE.
CONSERVATION.
BIKES. CULTURE. CONSERVATION.
OUR MISSION
Indigenous Spokes advances bicycling within Indigenous Communities to improve human health, protect the environment, and preserve cultural knowledge across generations.
We partner with Tribal Nations and Federal Land Management Agencies to expand access to cultural and recreational activities on Public Lands.
OUR VISION
What we are working toward
Every Indigenous community deserves the access, the health, and the support to keep tradition moving forward — one ride at a time.
WHAT WE STAND FOR
Four pillars guide everything we do
01
Tradition
We support the passing down of knowledge, traditions, and culture from generation to generation, using cycling as a vehicle to connect Indigenous youth with their heritage.
02
Health + Wellness
We open eyes, hearts, and minds to cycling as a way to sustain and improve health and fitness.
03
Conservation
We strive to achieve "conservation through appreciation," with the driving premise being the common goal to protect the lands, trails, and environment that allow us to enjoy what we love.
04
Indigenous inroads
We advocate for the use of Public Lands for Indigenous cultural, recreational, and educational activities, working to strengthen relationships between Tribal Nations and Public Land Management Agencies.
"Conservation through appreciation"
protect what you love because you've come to love it
